Where it started
In 1979, Toledo native James Albring and his wife Kathy saw a need for quality firewood in our local area. Armed with a dream and one pickup truck, Lumber Jacks was born. Lumber Jacks was originally located in Toledo off Monroe Street. It then moved to downtown Sylvania, across the street from Sautter’s Market. Around 1995, Lumber Jacks moved down the road about one mile into Michigan, where we are still located. We now carry more than just firewood. We also produce many different mulch grades and colors, topsoil, smoking wood and much more. Our mission is to provide quality products to our friends and neighbors! Come check us out!
